Good Day my Fellow Americans and Patriots
In a previous Post, State of Denial, I spoke about the horrific terrorist attack that happened in San Bernardino and how many Americans have their collective heads in the sand. This Post is a follow-up.
Obama, our Commander-in-Chief – if you can even call him that – decided to deliver a message to the American public from the Oval Office. Historically speaking, when a president addresses the nation in this manner it is usually due to a very serious consequence and one in which the President of the United States uses as a tool to unify the nation.
Unfortunately, this president is not about unity he is about divisiveness and his speech did nothing but reflect his continued goal to divide this nation. he offered nothing, declared nothing and his words were empty. He, the liberal media and progressive socialist liberals across this nation were quick to offer any possible excuse for the actions of these hard-core terrorists. As is usual, the left offered ridiculous reasons why the terror couple, Syed Farook and his glamorous wife Tashfeen Malik, killed 14 and injured 21. We heard every ridiculous excuse under the sun which I will not waste my time even repeating because there are so idiotic.
But thankfully the FBI and law enforcement have been doing an outstanding job, as usual, and have determined that these terror suspects were just that – terrorists. Moreover, the investigation has revealed that the two are radical Islamic terrorists and have been so for many years. That in fact, their overseas escapades in Saudi Arabia and Pakistan were not just shopping sprees but for their continued radicalization and I would submit for receiving their orders.
This duo, or at least Malik, duped the State Department, USCIS (United States citizen and immigration services) when she applied for her Fiancé visa.
Now, I’m not so close minded to think that there are not any good people of all backgrounds around the world. People that want to immigrate to the United States and who are peaceful and lawful individuals. I know there is because I’ve met many of them and I have lived and worked with many of them overseas.
I‘ve seen firsthand the conditions in some of these countries and the difficulties that people have to work through a daily basis just to survive. I get it and I’m not against immigration. What I am against is being lied to particularly by lawmakers, representatives and the President of the United States. I’m also so naïve to believe that presidents don’t lie, I know they do. But I’m sick of being lied to when the safety of my family, my community, my friends and this nation are at risk.
It particularly upsets me when I believe that the leader of our country is an ignoramus. For the record, it appears that 64% of American public, that includes Democrats, Republicans and Independents, also believe that President Barack Obama is an ignoramus and placing this
country in grave and dire risk.
Back to the issue of the terrorist attack in San Bernardino. As I said, it appears as though the Jihadists were planning even larger attacks than the one at the healthcare facility. Potentially involving hundreds if not more innocent people at public areas and a university.
Thankfully they will never have the opportunity to carry those out.
The point is, there is a reality, a very serious reality staring us directly in the face. That reality is there is a global war that has been formally declared and being waged upon our Western civilization by radical Islamists who are hell-bent on taking over the world.
I don’t know how else to say it. Actually, I don’t have to say it. That is what they are saying, that is what they have documented and that’s what they are doing. Check it out yourself, their declarations are available online. They are not trying to hide their intentions at all. I don’t know what other evidence we need to analyze, what other rationales we need to apply or more excuses made to offer an explanation.
Heck, the Brits as of last week finally get it. The British government announced today that they made errors over the last several years in recognizing this global threat and now publicly state that the threat posed by radical Islamists and Isis is “a threat to our way of life”.
But we here in the United States still just don’t get it.
Is this a matter of the lack of first-hand experience of seeing and witnessing the ugly reality of humanity? Of witnessing the atrocities of war, or the actions of demented people? Of living in Islamic countries and listening and seeing firsthand their radical way of life?
Is it really necessary for people to understand and appreciate the threat we are facing by witnessing firsthand the beheading of a human being? Is that was going to take? Perhaps we’ve seen too much video of this and now we believe all of this is just another TV show. I’ve seen these horrors in real life and I suppose that is why it is very evident to me the threat we are facing. That is why warriors don’t want to go to war. No sane person wants to go to war particularly those who experienced it firsthand before. It’s no fun. It’s not glorious. But it is unfortunately necessary sometimes. And sometimes-is now.
Or perhaps, people are living in some disconnected fashion away from the realities of life? I’m sure that some of this has to do with it as well. There are so many people that are living in an altered reality in this country. Maybe it is because they have too much money, too much education or too much time on their hands. I don’t know, but it is truly scary.
The issue of people living in an altered reality is not new are specific only to terrorism. Any cop on the beat will tell you this as he or she witnesses it every shift. “Walking victims” is what we call them in LA. People who have their blinders on and are totally clueless about the reality of where they are at and what they are doing. They have no situational awareness regarding themselves and the environment there are in.
I got to tell you folks, I’m frustrated, ticked off and righteously concerned about our future. I try not to run the red flag of the pole or yell fire, fire, fire. But I truly believe that if there was ever a time to break out the red flag, it is now.
We are entering into 2016 and the election of a new president will be determined next November. I don’t know what the outcome of that election will be but I’m gravely concerned about the future of our country if Hillary Clinton is allowed to sit in the chair in the Oval Office. I am hopeful that Americans will come out and vote and that they will vote Republican but I’m also pessimistic given the laziness of our citizens. Not until some terrorist is pointing a gun at their head or the cold steel of a blade is on their neck will some people understand the threat that is at hand, on our doorstep and quickly approaching.
That’s how serious I believe this to be.
But the threat of global terrorism is not our only concern. It is not the only thing threatening the future and viability of our country. Mass immigration, fiscal irresponsibility and socialism will bring this country to its knees. The country that you and I grew up in, that we believe in, that we always envision and that we dream of is at risk. And the seemingly innocent term, political correctness, and its pervasive use as a liberal tool for conformity is ushering in these threats.
With that, I leave you with a timeless quote by Col. Jessup from the movie A few good men:
You can’t handle the truth! Son, we live in a world that has walls. And those walls have to be guarded by men with guns. Who’s gonna do it? You? You, Lt. Weinberg? I have a greater responsibility than you can possibly fathom. You weep for Santiago and you curse the Marines. You have that luxury. You have the luxury of not knowing what I know: that Santiago’s death, while tragic, probably saved lives. And my existence, while grotesque and incomprehensible to you, saves lives…You don’t want the truth. Because deep down, in places you don’t talk about at parties, you want me on that wall. You need me on that wall.
We use words like honor, code, loyalty…we use these words as the backbone to a life spent defending something. You use ’em as a punchline. I have neither the time nor the inclination to explain myself to a man who rises and sleeps under the blanket of the very freedom I provide, then questions the manner in which I provide it! I’d rather you just said thank you and went on your way. Otherwise, I suggest you pick up a weapon and stand a post. Either way, I don’t give a damn what you think you’re entitled to!
